Hiking Group
For years there has been a Crosslands Hiking Group that takes long walks or short hikes off Campus. The objective has been, and remains, first good camaraderie, then second some light exercise. We attempt to stay within a half hour drive of the campus leaving at 8:30 to 9 AM returning by 11:30AM. Places visited range from Westtown School to many of the Natural Land Trust properties. The hikes are scheduled from April to November on the first Wednesday of the month. Most are straight and level ground; all are easy walking. Even in the warmest months we are able to find shaded trails which are cool enough in the morning to make the treks fun. Sometimes it’s fun to try a winter hike if weather permits.
Dan Mitchell has an e-mail hiking group list. If you are interested send your contact info to Dan in email or drop in his open box.
