Contact Person(s) – Jon Ford
Meeting Day/Time – Wednesdays at 11:00 am
Location – Croquet Court
- Bocce is an easy going, low impact, lawn game played by up to four people.
- Play is suitable for those with mobility issues including walkers and scooters.
- Each player has two balls (a different color than the other players).
- A “target” ball is thrown out.
- Each player throws the first of their balls with the goal of landing closest to the “target”.
- After all players have thrown their first ball each takes turns throwing their other ball.
- Players may intentionally or unintentionally hit another players ball with the effect of knocking one player farther from the “target” and causing another player to land closer to the “target”.
- Scoring – The player whose ball is closest to the “target” scores a point. If two of the winning players balls are the closest to the “target” then they get two points. No other points are awarded.
- Play continues until the mutually agreed upon points goal has been reached.
